Engagement or Wedding Invitation Sets
Invitation sets include a number of items that can be included in what you send out to your guests:
- Save the date cards
- invitations
- rsvp cards
- details cards
- thank you cards
- printed envelopes
- stickers – often used as envelope seals
Shapes
We have a wide range of shapes available in existing dies such as arch, round, oval, one-side arch, squares, rounded corners, bevelled tops, or one of your own design in you have something really specific in mind!
Sizes
There is no standard size for any of these pieces – it is completely up to you! Usually we see the invitations as the largest piece, or as the different shape, in the following size ranges:
- 120 x 180mm
- 148 x 210mm (A5) – fits C5 envelopes
- 140 x 140mm – fits 150x150mm envelopes
- 99 x 210mm (DL) – fits DL envelopes
The details, RSVPs and wishing well cards are often smaller, and rectangular:
- 105 x 148mm (A6) – fits C6 envelopes – this size is commonly used for the RSVPs
- 70 x 120mm
- 80 x 135mm
- 100 x 100mm
- 120 x 120mm
Or you can chose any size you like! Please keep in mind that envelopes only come in a certain number of sizes, and you’ll need your invites to fit inside!
On the Day
Menus
Not only are menus very helpful to let your guests know what to expect, but if you add their name to the top, it doubles as a placecard!
Menus are generally A6 (105x148mm) or A5 (210x148mm) or DL (210x99mm), but again, you can have whatever size or shape you’d like!
It’s the best way to add an extra touch of personality to your guest table presentation.
Continue the design theme from your invitations – or pick one element and go bold.
Placecards
These are often quite small, usually A7 or business card size. We can print in all shapes and sizes and a wide range of cardstock. A fun idea might be to print your placecards as coasters, so your guests never lose their drinks!
Favours and bonbonniere
We can help you with custom lolly or chocolate packs, whether it’s a sticker added to a packet of jellybeans (that match your colours), a collar for a chocolate bar or edible fondant added to little packs of macarons. We can provide confectionery in quirky containers and jars, or even just print the little tag saying Thanks! that you tie to your favours.
Seating Charts, Welcome Signs
The most popular choice for seating and welcome signs is A2 or A1 size on a foamboard. Gloss or matt finishes are available with extra options of spot gloss or digital foil to highlight names or details.
Foamboard can used either indoor or outdoor, and has a lovely smooth matt surface. Depending on how you’re going to display the boards, we can add drill holes or eyelets.
Thank you cards
One thing we’ve found really helps with the after wedding admin jobs, is actually printing your thank you cards at the same time as your invitations. That way they’re already printed and waiting for you to fill out after opening all your gifts. Continue your theme across from your invitations, or go with something completely different!
Other couples incorporate their official wedding photo on their card, or a happy snap from the honeymoon.
