Hotstamp foil – traditional hot stamp foil that is pressed into the card stock. There is a range of metallic and non metallic colours. Also available in clear and pearl. Best suited to medium to large runs – ie, business card orders for more than 500.

Digital foil (also known as sleeking) – it looks similar to the hot stamp foil, but without the pressed in texture, and smaller range of colours. It can only go on top of matt or soft touch laminate, not suitable for use on uncoated paper or non-paper materials.

Liquid metal – this is a coloured raised varnish and comes in a small range of colours. It has great texture and shine. Suitable for shorter print runs and can only go on top of matt or soft touch laminate. It is a popular choice for business cards, invitations and booklet covers.

Foil stock – we can print onto ready made foil stocks, to get that metallic effect. Some inks and toners allow the foil to show through so you can get a full range of metallic colours. Some inks and toners block out the foil so that you can pick and choose where to have the metallic effect. This stock can be paper, card, synthetic or self adhesive.
